I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Clinical  Hypnotherapist (CCH), Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist (C-DBT), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).  I received a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State University in 2006 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Valdosta State University in 1995.  I have experience in a variety of public, non-profit, and private clinical settings such as Department of Family and Children Services, residential group homes, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), community services programs, domestic violence/trauma survivors groups, and private practice to include independent contracting.  I enjoy working with a wide range of life developmental levels from teens to adults. My therapeutic orientation and focus utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/Dialectical Behavior Therapy techniques, mindfulness skills, and solution-focused dynamics.  I offer Clinical Hypnotherapy in my practice to enhance desired behavioral changes and mindfulness techniques through a more holistic approach.  As an advocate of positive mental health through a variety of natural resources, I am a firm believer of spiritual and physical health being one of the key components.    I am most passionate about working with clients to achieve their measure of success in increasing positive mental health through a variety of natural resources including addressing spirituality to assist in  symptom relief of depression, anxiety, and anger management issues as well as grief/loss challenges.  I am an active member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.  I have been married since 1994 and have twin sons and a fur baby.  I enjoy being an active member of Central Baptist Church of Warner Robins.  In my free time, I like reading, relaxing and traveling with my family, spending time with friends, exercising, and nurturing my favorite flowers and plants.
